Members of the Reichstag and the Imperial Government have all assembled in the Reichstag Chambers in Konigriver, informed early this morning that Herr Lukas Jaeger, Prince of Hindendorff, would be delivering to them an "Emergency Address". All of the capital is buzzing over the news, ever since Herr Jaeger's car arrived late last night at the Palast Hotel. The press has gathered as well, trying to find any information about this address. All of a sudden, sirens pierce the air as Herr Jaeger's motorcade makes it's way toward the Reichstag. Shortly the motorcade arrived, and Herr Jaeger's car pulls up to the front steps. Both Konigriver Police and Hindendorff Royal Guard are with the Prince for security as he enter's the building. Despite attempts rom the press, not a word is said from the Prince or his staff.
In side the grand chamber, the Master-at-Arms calls out, "Mr. Speaker, Honorable Delegates, I present Herr Lukas Jaeger, Prince of Hindendorff. As Herr Jaeger enteres the chamber, the delegates rise and give a polite applause. Nobody in the room has any idea why the Prince has assembled them there with almost no prior warning. Notibly absent is both the Reichs Chancellor and the Arch-Steward, whose special chairs sit vacant, along with the place for their respective staffs.
Herr Jaeger takes the Speaker's Podium...
"Mr. Speaker, Honorable Delegates, and those listening to this address from your homes via the radio,
Let me first appologize for the lack of warning for this summons. But what I am here to tell you today is of the upmost urgency and did not allow for prior warning.
If you will notice, behind me the seats of the Reichs Chancellor and the Arch-Steward are empty, despite my request that the entire government be assembled today.
After noticing that neither the Head of State nor the Head of Government of this Empire had been seen or heard from in weeks, I requested that the Konigriver Police check their homes. The Cheif of Police called me last night to inform me that neither men where home, or had been home in sometime. As soon as I recieved this shocking news, I cabled all of you to be assembled here this morning and immediately left Hindendorff to be here.
Ladies and Gentlemen of the Reich, our leaders have vanished, and no one knows where they are as of yet. The Konigriver Police are currently launching a full investigation.
Due to thier absence, I am declaring a state of emergency and will be assuming the day to day responisbilities of ensuring that this Empire continues to function. Right now these two statesmen are to be considered incapacitated. If they are not found by the begining of September, we will have to assume the worst, and act accordingly.
I ask the citizens of this country to remain calm, and rest assured in knowing that you are in good hands until our leaders can be found. We will continue forward, improving and reviving the Reich.
Thank you all, and God Bless!"
With that, Herr Jaeger steps down from the Podium and exits the chamber, leaving a befuddled Reichstag murmuring as they began to exit as well. Herr Jaeger returns to his waiting car, avoiding questions from the press. The motorcade begins to move, returning to the Palast Hotel, which will apparently be serving as Herr Jaeger's headquarters for the month of August.
