Wilkommen an das Holzer Reich. Welcome to the Holzer Empire.
My name is Johann Boyen, I am President of the Confederation and Arch-Steward. I am essentially a stand-in Kaiser until the nation is back on her feet. I am most pleased to see an envoy from such an esteemed nation as Alexandria.
Unfortunately our current Foreign Affairs minister is missing. The nation is less than one-hundred percent stable at this moment as you can imagine. Your request for dignitary status is hereby accepted.
As for your request to gain permission to use Holzer docks to rest and resupply- I see no problem with this and shall issue an edict concerning this matter shortly.

Your Excellency,
I am most pleased by your positive and expedited reply.
As soon as our ships arrive, I would very much like a personal interview with Your Excellency before departure to our final destination in the Principality of Corcovado.
Thanks and best regards, Augusto

Your Imperial Highness,
Greetings and welcome to Holzborg. I am the Grand Duke of Presburg. In Holzer government, I am also Reichsklanzer or Chancellor. It is good to see foreign envoys and their messages in the capital of our nation once again. In my official capacity it is important for me to keep abreast of all foreign developments, in and outside of the Private Council.
I cannot speak for the President but I myself would be more than happy to be host to you in my palace of Schloss Holzgerlingen.

Your Grace,
I am most delighted by your hospitality, I will certainly pay a visit to the Schloss Holzgerlingen palace.
Even tough I am a career member of the Alexandrian Diplomatic Corps, at this time I am visiting in my capacity as member of the Imperial Navy, still I need to ask how are diplomatic negotiations between our two nations?
And, at a personal level, here's a box of our finest wine from Corcovado, a small token to thank the Holzer hospitality.

Your Imperial Highness,
I will answer this question since my faithful and able servant, the Reichsklanzer, has unfortunately not been briefed on Holzborg's history with Alexandria.
To my mind no treaties between our two nations have ever been signed nor any official accords agreed upon. That said, our ambassador was an accredited envoy in your nation until recently, and I believe an Alexandrian was even once Holzer Kaiser.
Of course the Holzer government would love to publically hold Alexandria as a close friend. I thank you for your most appropriate actions and commend your skills as a diplomat. A good guest deserves a good host and vice versa, and I hope we have filled this role to your satisfaction.

Well, of course you have Your Excellency, you both have been more friendly than I exprected; and may I say, my exprectations were high.
I am truly enjoying my visit since I arrived, and have confidence that when I return to Holzer lands along with my fleet, we will be delighted by Holzer hospitality.
I noticed that Your Excellency holds the same military rank as I do, and suppose sailing should be enjoyable, therefore, I invite you and His Grace to join the Alexandrian Navy's journey to Corcovado, and then I will be most honoured to have you as guests at the Miramar Castle in Corcovado.
In the meantime, I shall continue enjoying Holzer amenities.

Your Imperial Highness, We Holzers hold the idea of diplomacy and the host-guest relationship in very high regard. It is almost sacred. Those educated in the classics are aware that since earliest times, hosting friends has been a great part of civilisation. But further, acting appropriately and with decorum as a guest is perhaps of greater importance. I am very pleased that Alexandria has not succumbed to the mindset of some of the greater nations in this hobby; there are some that, being powerful, forget the subtleties of diplomacy. Your nation represents one which can maintain the influence of a great power alongside the diplomatic acumen that is more prevalent among the nations which need to resort to tricks of the tongue to assert their will. A big dog that knows how to bark, if you can excuse the crude metaphor. My home has always indeed been the sea. I greatly appreciate your invitation and would be happy to join you. If you survey the Kaiserliche Marine's Order of Battle you can see the Kaiserial Flotilla which serves the Kaiser whenever he should find need for it. If you would allow it, I could travel on that flotilla attached to your Navy, or if you prefer I could accompany you on your fine excursion aboard one of the Alexandrian ships.

Your Excellency,
I can foresee a long and close relationship among us, we share the idea of diplomacy for sure.
As for the invitation, you are free to attach the flotilla to our fleet and have permission to use alexandrian docks.
Best regards,
